don't play with your food
Isaiah 65:25
The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, says the LORD.
I was watching National Geographic the other day... some wildlife documentary. It was a mother cheetah teaching her cub to hunt. The momma cheetah had already put momma gazelle out of her misery, and cheetah JR was chasing gazelle JR around their little patch of savannah. All fun and games for the cheetah, but in the eyes of the gazelle there was only fear. Every now and then momma cheetah gets up and shows junior how to trip its prey, but she leaves the kill to junior. Who obviously is less than proficient, allowing the gaz to get up and run again. It was, after all life or death.
I turned off the tv. There was just something mildly disturbing about that scene. Both juvenile animals were cute. One was going to eat the other. I never did find out if the cheetah cub made a meal of the little gaz.
The Limit Of Adhesion
Approaching the corner with excess speed, heel toe down a gear and let the engine braking pull the nose down. Turn in and when the front rubber bites, yank the handbrake and counter. Sometimes the drift is spectacular. Sometimes, the ditch wins.
